Having taken on board all the questions we have been asked over the years, here are a summary of the answers to the regular asks. 

Cake toppers: 

If you would like us to supply a cake topper, we can organize a bespoke keepsake for you or an off the shelf topper. Whichever is the case, we only charge for the cost of the topper, we don’t add a finders fee. You maybe happier searching for your own topper but the costs will be the same either way. 

Allergens and Intolerences:

With your cake, you will receive a list of all the cake ingredients and how to store your cake until it is needed. All allergens will be written in bold. There will also be the cakes best before date. Martha and Molly’s does operate a nut free kitchen but we can not give assurances for any ingredient/product we use in the creation of your cake. If you have any questions or queries relating to this, please say when making your order.

Construction items 

Due to the Island becoming ‘single use plastic free’, the items we use to support structured cakes are re-useable and remain the property of Martha and Mollys. We will arrange with you to have them returned. 

Any cake separators, stands, florals or other loaned equipment must be returned. On some items, we will hire them to you at a minimal cost and deposit. The deposit will be returned on receipt of the items in good order.  

Delivery: 

We deliver all our cakes at the agreed time to the agreed address. All we ask is the full address, contact name and telephone number just in case we can’t find you.  

Payment: 

Full payment is required to secure the date and cake. Once we have agreed the design, flavour’s, size etc we can finalise the costs. Once confirmed, bank details will be forwarded for payment. We don’t hold any dates provisionally due to the number of enquiries we receive. As soon as you are happy, please confirm the booking with your payment.  

If you are booking cakes on behalf of a business where an invoice is required, we will issue a pro-forma invoice in order to instigate payment in a timely manner. 

We do not accept card or cheque payments. Bank transfers only. 

Postponements/Cancellations 

If you need to postpone, we can reschedule at no additional cost – note this is subject to availability. If your plans change within 1-week of delivery, then the cost of the cake is lost.  

Finally, we reserve the right to post pictures of the cakes we create on our social media sites. If your cake has personalised names on the cake, we can remove them if you so wish, but you must say so. Otherwise the picture will appear as created.  

Should you have professional pictures taken as part of your event and if you are happy to share them, we can use your pictures on our social media and website.
